Merry Christmas From The Viking Sky

Boarding the Viking Sky felt like returning home because I saw many familiar faces and was glad to rekindle old friendships. As usual, the Sky was decked out for Christmas and looked great.

Please don’t feel sorry for us being away from home because our Christmas activities were truly memorable. We started with a Christmas Eve dinner in one of the Sky’s private dining rooms. This was followed by a wonderful Christmas show and culminated with a prayer service, where we had a chance to sing a few Christmas carols. It was one of my favorite Christmas eve days ever because we didn’t have to worry about brining the turkey, last minute shopping, or wrapping gifts.

Christmas day was also packed with neat activities from playing trivia to singing carols and ended with dinner with friends and a show at night.

In general, The ship is extra clean and everything works well in contrast to ships of some other cruise lines where I’ve experienced issues with climate control, hot water availability and a few other inconveniences. I’ve also attended a few lectures which seem to be a cut above those of other lines.

Unfortunately, I suspect my blogs will be less frequent this time around, but stay tuned.
