Hello from New Zealand

It had been a while since my last post, primarily because I was too busy enjoying meeting my new shipmates and sharing wonderful stories, attending some excellent informative lectures and visiting many beautiful countries.
I must admit, however that the internet made uploading posts a painfully slow process. A fellow passenger understood my frustration and suggested a couple of IPad apps which speeded up the process significantly. Needless to say, I purchased an IPad, loaded the appropriate apps and you are seeing this post on my improved “system”. One of its primary benefits is its handling of large image files. It actually crunches the images to a manageable size then arranges them in a collage for posting……I’m hoping it works!
Before I go much further, let me introduce you to my fellow passenger, Rose! She and her husband, Ted are Canadians, also sold their house and now cruise the high seas. They are much better writers and photographers than I am and their website is: roseandtedsexcellentadventure.com. Take special note of Episode 610 where she describes our phenomenal brunch on the Tasman Sea. You may also want to follow their blog we continue this journey. I have no doubt it will be more detailed and better organized than mine.

This area of New Zealand boasted having two large Gannet colonies which are in the same family of the diving blue footed boobies of the Galápagos Islands
