Hello from Tenerife (Canary Islands) & Morocco

You may remember my “fortunate” heart attack in Agadir, Morocco last year and the great experiences it provided. I was anxious to go back and rediscover the adventures this fascinating city had to offer.
Our first port in north western Africa was Santa Cruz De Tenerife, one of Spain’s Canary Islands. It was one of the cleanest and most beautiful islands in the world and frequented by many vacationing Europeans.

Agadir was next, a private tour gave us a flavor of this compact city by the Ocean. Here we stopped for a delicious Tangine lunch. A slow cooked plate with a choice of protein, mixed with vegetables and spices and topped with a few hard boiled eggs.

The food was healthy and tasty

Agidir is a clean modern Moroccan city which welcomes foreigners. One can easily live in the lap of luxury for about $3000/month. This includes rent of a 2000Sq. Ft. Modern apartment with an elevator, food and a housemaid to cook, clean, shop and perform other household tasks……a tempting place to live.
Our last excursion took us to Rick’s Cafe of Casablanca movie fame. We made reservations two months in advance and it exceeded our expectations. The food and service were exceptional.

North West Africa is as advanced as most places in the world and its inhabitants are tolerant and congenial. Refer to my previous blog “fateful Agidir”
